YEAH, we have won our first award. We won 3rd place in the "Retail" category for our commitment to sustainability, which we also showcase in our showroom in Berlin.

But what exactly is the Green Buddy Award?
The Green Buddy Award is a prestigious award that recognises outstanding achievements in the field of sustainability. The award was created to promote initiatives that have a positive impact on the environment, society and the economy. The award aims to raise awareness of sustainable solutions and contribute to shaping a better and more sustainable world.
GREEN BUDDY – Who?
And by whom is it awarded?
By awarding this environmental prize, the Tempelhof-Schöneberg district office, together with the business development department and its cooperation partners, recognises companies for which ecology and sustainability are part of their own corporate philosophy. Forward-looking developments that have a lasting impact are recognised and honoured by the Green Buddy Award. Cooperation partners are Buddy Bär Berlin GmbH, Berlin Partner for Business and Technology, Investitionsbank Berlin and BSR, which donate prizes and sponsor the award ceremony. Other sponsors include Marienpark Berlin, the German Renewable Energy Federation, the Berlin-Brandenburg Trade Association HBB, the district mayor Jörn Oltmann and the district's environmental and nature conservation office.
Not a clue but grateful
We had no idea.
Of course, we had applied for this award. We described our business in detail, with all its positive environmental impacts. Explained where we think we are particularly good (key point: unique selling point). Explained the supply chain transparently. Shared our code of values. Emphasised the customer benefits. However, we were not nominated. Nevertheless, we accepted the invitation to attend the award ceremony and the subsequent festivities. We travelled there because we wanted to watch the awards ceremony and applaud the winners. Attending without any expectations. And suddenly this:
It's understandable that we were so freaked out, isn't it?

The Green Buddy Award 2024 was presented in the Metropol (then Neues Schauspielhaus) in Berlin, built in 1905.
