Twill weaves create a diagonal pattern with characteristic ridges running at an angle of 45o or 135o. Twill weaves are therefore divided into Z-rib twill, because the ridge runs from the bottom left to the top right, corresponding to the middle part of the letter Z, and S-rib twill with the opposite ridge pattern.
